In the year leading up to the recent #StarbucksWhileBlack arrests of two men, calls from the Philadelphia Center City (Rittenhouse Square) Starbucks to the Philadelphia Police Department dramatically spiked. This spike coincided with the hiring of a new manager, who was on duty at the time of the arrests.
