Sanders campaign volunteer Masha Mendietta describes the pervasive sexism she endured at the hands of CA-34 progressive candidate Arturo Carmona. Since the article has come out, Lucy Florez, Erica Andiola, and Susan Sarandon, among others, have come out in support of her. Democracy for America and Political Revolution have both revoked their endorsements.
Mendietta has tried to report this behavior since December, when Carmona declared his candidacy. She wrote this article in response to a communication from his campaign that she felt was intimidating.
