Despite bad reviews, director blames Rotten Tomatoes for his movie not being even more successful than it was.

Something a bit off our beaten path: Hollywood producer Brett Ratner is director of Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice, which had a budget of $250 million and made $850 million worldwide.

Although Ratner has “such respect and admiration for film criticism,” he blames Rotten Tomatoes for the film not being more successful. Why? Because the site, which scores films based exclusively on the reviews a film receives, scored his film too low. “The worst thing that we have in today’s movie culture is Rotten Tomatoes. I think it’s the destruction of our business.”
